RED RIBBON WEEK

Red Ribbon week kicked off with volunteers from Cumberland County Hospital visiting each classroom to pass out drug free bracelets and talk with students about the importance of being drug free.

CCMS STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN THE WIZARD OF OZ PRODUCTION

Several CCMS students participated in this weekends performances of the Wizard of Oz.  Every cast member did an excellent job.

 

 

CCMS PANTHERS KICK OFF THEIR SEASON

Panther basketball action is underway at CCMS.  The Panthers have already went head to head with Clinton Co and Pickett Co.  The 6th grade team pulled out a win at Clinton Co in the season opener.  The next home game for the panthers will be next Tuesday November 5th against Russell Co.

 

 

ANNUAL HALLOWEEN DANCE

Students at CCMS enjoyed the annual Halloween dance Thursday night.  The costumes did not disappoint.  Students were extremely creative with their costume selections this year.

 

 

 

ALL FOR BOOKS ICE CREAM PARTY

Mrs. Brittany's homeroom enjoyed an ice cream party this morning.  The students in this classroom donated the most spare change for the annual CCMS All for Books Spare Change competition, donating more than $100. 

 

 

 

 

STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Students of the month enjoyed a treat from the Taste Freeze for their hard wok and effort. 

READY, AIM, SHOOT....

Students in Mr. G's PE class experienced first hand how to use a bow and arrow.  Look out come deer season, some of these students had a really good aim!!!

WE'RE OFF TO SEE THE WIZARD...

Several students from CCMS as well as students from CCES, and CCHS will be cast in the production of the Wizard of Oz this weekend.  The Burkesville Academy of Fine Arts will perform three shows of the Wizard of Oz.  The premier show will be Friday October 25th at 7 PM.  They will also perform on Saturday October 26 at 7 PM and on Sunday October 26th at 2 PM.  All performances will take place at CCMS gym.  This is a performance you don't want to miss!!  Here's a sneak peak of some of the well known characters from the land of Oz!!!

 

 

6th Grade Conservation Program

CCMS 6th graders enjoyed the annual conservation program on Monday. 

 

 

STUDENTS RECOGNIZED FOR KPREP SCORES

Four students from CCMS and 3 students from CCES were recognized at the October school board meeting for their outstanding performance on the 2013 KPREP test.  These students scored Distinguished in all areas of the the state test.  Way to go students keep up the good work!!!

CCMS ART CLASS PRODUCES SOME OUTSTANDING WORK

Ms. Crist's, 8th grade Art class has produced some outstanding art work.  Student work was displayed at the October school board meeting which was held at CCMS.

 

 

CCMS BOOK MARK WINNER

Zoe Staley was the winner of the CCMS book mark competition.  She received $25 of free merchandise from the fall book fair for her reward.  Good job Zoe!!!

 

 

CCMS SEPTEMBER STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

CCMS AUGUST STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Each month the faculty and staff of CCMS selects 1 students, per grade level, to honor as the student of the month.  These students are chosen based on their attitude, behavior, work ethic, and outstanding performance during the month.  Congratulations to Landon, Mark, and Jeffrey for being selected as the August students of the month.

 

 

CCMS PINK OUT

To support the fight against cancer the CCMS lady panthers held their annual pink out.  Several students and staff members in the school showed their support by wearing their pink proudly.
